I’m Joanna Lindenbaum, a coach, ritualist, and all-around transformation nerd who is obsessed with helping clients go deep to create more change and results with their clients.
00:00:19 Joanna Lindenbaum
I created the Coaching Revolution Podcast to share with you coaching skills, tips, and advice, as well as a deeper understanding of human behavior and of yourself.
00:00:30 Joanna Lindenbaum
so that you can do even better client work and group work, grow your business organically, and know that you’re making a real difference in the world.
00:00:41 Joanna Lindenbaum
This is about creating a revolution in the transformational industry so that more practitioners feel amazing about what they do, and so that more of our clients experience life-changing shifts.
00:00:55 Joanna Lindenbaum
Let’s get started.
00:01:01 Joanna Lindenbaum
Happy New Year.
00:01:02 Joanna Lindenbaum
This podcast is one that I recorded back in the winter of 2025, but it’s so relevant to everything that I’ve been sharing over the last month or two around creating group programs with true substance that activate lasting ahas and create transformational experiences that I wanted to share this episode again.
00:01:26 Joanna Lindenbaum
In the original recording, I referenced a training of mine called Life-Changing Courses.
00:01:32 Joanna Lindenbaum
I’m not offering Life-Changing Courses this year, but I am offering a training called Curriculum Lab.
00:01:39 Joanna Lindenbaum
That’s a done with you curriculum and transformational exercises development program that I’ve actually been offering for 10 years now.
00:01:49 Joanna Lindenbaum
It’s a shorter program that Life-Changing Courses is based on.
00:01:54 Joanna Lindenbaum
Enjoy the episode.
00:01:58 Joanna Lindenbaum
Welcome, everyone, to today’s episode.
00:02:01 Joanna Lindenbaum
I’m so thrilled that you’re here.
00:02:03 Joanna Lindenbaum
If you’re a coach, facilitator, or transformational practitioner wondering how to craft curriculum that’s not only impactful but truly life-changing, then you’re in the right place today because we’re going to be looking at how I create curriculum for all of my programming.
00:02:26 Joanna Lindenbaum
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of creating many, many dozens of programs, retreats, circles, and workshops.
00:02:35 Joanna Lindenbaum
And within that, I’ve created hundreds and hundreds of individual course sessions.
00:02:43 Joanna Lindenbaum
My work has spanned online classes, in-person live events, ceremonial settings, corporate environments, and everything in between.
00:02:56 Joanna Lindenbaum
I’ve designed everything from 90-minute workshops to two-session courses to week-long retreats to year-long transformational journeys.
00:03:08 Joanna Lindenbaum
And I feel proud to say that almost every single one of these programs and courses and group experiences
00:03:19 Joanna Lindenbaum
have been a winner.
00:03:21 Joanna Lindenbaum
They’ve been deeply transformative with rave reviews from participants who go on to share about the work with everyone that they know.
00:03:33 Joanna Lindenbaum
This isn’t just about creating courses.
00:03:38 Joanna Lindenbaum
It’s about creating experiences that showcase my thought leadership and then leaving lasting impressions and real change on my participants.
00:03:52 Joanna Lindenbaum
And one thing I’ve learned along the way is that the way that you approach your curriculum and the way that you articulate your content
00:04:06 Joanna Lindenbaum
and craft your program can mean the difference between blending into the sea of all those other courses out there versus standing out as truly unique and meaningful.
00:04:22 Joanna Lindenbaum
I feel proud also that my students and my clients often call me the curriculum whisperer.
00:04:33 Joanna Lindenbaum
And they call me the curriculum whisperer because I have a knack for helping people uncover their unique brilliance, really their thought leadership, and then helping them translate it into a unique and powerful curriculum that transforms lives.
00:04:53 Joanna Lindenbaum
But let’s be honest for a moment.
00:04:57 Joanna Lindenbaum
Curriculum design can be daunting.
00:05:03 Joanna Lindenbaum
Maybe you’ve felt overwhelmed by where to start with your curriculum.
00:05:09 Joanna Lindenbaum
Maybe you’re not sure how to organize your information.
00:05:15 Joanna Lindenbaum
Maybe you’re unsure of what to include and what not to include.
00:05:22 Joanna Lindenbaum
You’re maybe overwhelmed with all of your ideas.
00:05:26 Joanna Lindenbaum
It’s a lot of information.
00:05:29 Joanna Lindenbaum
Maybe curriculum design has been tough for you because you are worried that your material isn’t going to stand out or you’ll sound like everyone else.
00:05:40 Joanna Lindenbaum
Or maybe you just feel like your curriculum is kind of stuck in surface level content and you’re not really diving deeper in it.
00:05:54 Joanna Lindenbaum
If you can relate to any of this,
00:05:58 Joanna Lindenbaum
Here’s what I want you to know.
00:06:01 Joanna Lindenbaum
You’re not alone.
00:06:03 Joanna Lindenbaum
It is so common for course creators who are thoughtful and know that they’re meant to create a curriculum design that’s deep and meaningful to get stuck with curriculum.
00:06:21 Joanna Lindenbaum
And that is because
00:06:23 Joanna Lindenbaum
curriculum development and design isn’t really something that you’re born knowing how to do.
00:06:32 Joanna Lindenbaum
Also, it’s not really taught in most places.
00:06:36 Joanna Lindenbaum
Curriculum development is a skill and like any other skill, it needs to be learned.
00:06:46 Joanna Lindenbaum
This is one of the many reasons why I’m so passionate about my training that’s called Life-Changing Courses.
00:06:54 Joanna Lindenbaum
It’s where I teach you how to craft your own unique curriculum and step into the role of a confident, masterful group facilitator.
00:07:04 Joanna Lindenbaum
It’s one of my favorite trainings that I offer because I get to support and then watch as the most inventive, transformational, and ultimately highly successful courses are born and developed.
00:07:23 Joanna Lindenbaum
Today, I want to give you a sneak peek into the first part of my own curriculum development process.
00:07:34 Joanna Lindenbaum
what I do when I go to create all my different curriculum, whether it’s for a retreat, a year-long course or training, whether it’s for corporate, whatever it is.
00:07:48 Joanna Lindenbaum
And this curriculum development process is one or the pieces that I’m going to be sharing today.
00:07:56 Joanna Lindenbaum
They really set the foundational stage for your curriculum to be transformative.
00:08:04 Joanna Lindenbaum
for your curriculum to go deep, and for your curriculum to go beyond just sounding like everyone else’s.
00:08:15 Joanna Lindenbaum
So I want to give you 7 key pointers that I follow every single time I design a course, a program, or a retreat.
00:08:26 Joanna Lindenbaum
And here’s the first one.
00:08:29 Joanna Lindenbaum
I make sure to actually create the time and space for my curriculum development.
00:08:39 Joanna Lindenbaum
Now, I know that…
00:08:42 Joanna Lindenbaum
On the one hand, this is obvious, right?
00:08:44 Joanna Lindenbaum
We need to create time and space for our curriculum development.
00:08:48 Joanna Lindenbaum
That being said, you’d be surprised how often course creators want desperately to create a new course or improve an existing one, and yet they don’t really make the time and space needed for the curriculum development.
00:09:08 Joanna Lindenbaum
It gets pushed to the bottom of the list.
00:09:11 Joanna Lindenbaum
and then it never really gets done.
00:09:14 Joanna Lindenbaum
You need to treat your curriculum work and your curriculum process as sacred.
00:09:24 Joanna Lindenbaum
Dedicating focused time to this is essential.
00:09:28 Joanna Lindenbaum
You want to carve out
00:09:30 Joanna Lindenbaum
uninterrupted time that’s free from distractions so that you can let your creativity flow.
00:09:39 Joanna Lindenbaum
And curriculum development is truly a creative process.
00:09:46 Joanna Lindenbaum
A lot of people tend to approach it as, oh, it’s something that I have to do, and there’s so much pressure, and it’s a job.
00:09:55 Joanna Lindenbaum
And a really
00:09:56 Joanna Lindenbaum
want to invite you to have a different perspective on curriculum development.
00:10:02 Joanna Lindenbaum
It is about letting your creativity flow and having fun with it.
00:10:08 Joanna Lindenbaum
So you want to put the time on your calendar so that your curriculum has a better chance of actually getting developed.
00:10:18 Joanna Lindenbaum
Now, if you have trouble creating the time,
00:10:24 Joanna Lindenbaum
It might be because there’s a block or a fear, sometimes a fear of not getting it right.
00:10:31 Joanna Lindenbaum
Sometimes you’re avoiding making time for your curriculum because there’s a fear of not being good enough or a fear of failure, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
00:10:41 Joanna Lindenbaum
If that’s the case, I want to invite you to make sure that you do your inner work
00:10:50 Joanna Lindenbaum
on whatever that fear is.
00:10:53 Joanna Lindenbaum
Doing that inner work is essential.
00:10:56 Joanna Lindenbaum
And that’s why in the life-changing courses training, we do spend some time on what I call the energetics of being a course creator and a transformational facilitator.
00:11:10 Joanna Lindenbaum
The energetics are vital so that you don’t block yourself from creating your course or from putting it out into the world and marketing it.
00:11:21 Joanna Lindenbaum
The other thing that we do in life-changing courses is you get…
00:11:27 Joanna Lindenbaum
bonus weekly get it done sessions for your curriculum.
00:11:31 Joanna Lindenbaum
So if you are the kind of person where you know you’re just not going to work on your curriculum on your own, it’s just not going to happen, you need a container for it and a held container for it that you’re going to show up for, we’ve got that covered for you in life-changing courses.
00:11:50 Joanna Lindenbaum
Now,
00:11:51 Joanna Lindenbaum
On this pointer about creating time and space, I want you to remember to also give yourself a good amount of time for your curriculum.
00:12:04 Joanna Lindenbaum
Curriculum is rarely a once and done.
00:12:09 Joanna Lindenbaum
It is a process, which means that it takes more than one sitting.
00:12:17 Joanna Lindenbaum
Usually my first sitting on my curriculum is like a brainstorm, brain dump, really messy.
00:12:27 Joanna Lindenbaum
And then from there, right, just so that I can get it all out and different ideas can come forward.
00:12:32 Joanna Lindenbaum
And then from there, I refine and I refine, not in the same sitting.
00:12:38 Joanna Lindenbaum
I give myself a couple of sittings.
00:12:42 Joanna Lindenbaum
Okay.
00:12:43 Joanna Lindenbaum
One last piece on creating the time and space, and then we’ll move on to the next pointer.
00:12:50 Joanna Lindenbaum
We’ve covered the time aspect, but what about the space aspect?
00:12:57 Joanna Lindenbaum
And in particular, your environment.
00:13:02 Joanna Lindenbaum
As I said, curriculum development is a creative process.
00:13:08 Joanna Lindenbaum
So I want you to think about what kind of space
00:13:13 Joanna Lindenbaum
is ideal for your creativity, right?
00:13:18 Joanna Lindenbaum
Is it at your desk where you always are, or is it somewhere else?
00:13:24 Joanna Lindenbaum
For me, first draft of a curriculum is never at my desk.
00:13:30 Joanna Lindenbaum
It is always either on the couch or in a comfortable place outside, so I can really get those creative juices going.
00:13:39 Joanna Lindenbaum
And that brings me to our second pointer for today, another really essential component for me when I go to create curriculum.
00:13:49 Joanna Lindenbaum
And that is that on my first draft, I start with pen and paper versus being in front of the computer.
00:14:00 Joanna Lindenbaum
And this might seem kind of old school, but for those of you that know me, you know I am
00:14:06 Joanna Lindenbaum
old school.
00:14:07 Joanna Lindenbaum
There is something for me that is just really freeing about letting ideas flow without the rigidity of the computer screen in front of me.
00:14:20 Joanna Lindenbaum
For me, doing my first draft or my brainstorming session with pen and paper allows for a more creative process and a less judgmental process in a way.
00:14:35 Joanna Lindenbaum
So I want you to think about that for yourself, right?
00:14:40 Joanna Lindenbaum
Do you want your first draft to be on the computer, pen and paper, et cetera?
00:14:45 Joanna Lindenbaum
All right, that brings us to our third pointer, which is another essential one for me when I go to create my curriculum, which is I remind myself to embrace
00:15:03 Joanna Lindenbaum
curiosity and not perfection.
00:15:07 Joanna Lindenbaum
So one of the most important mindsets that you can adopt when you’re creating your curriculum, or really when you’re doing anything, one of the most important mindsets is curiosity.
00:15:21 Joanna Lindenbaum
Too often, we
00:15:24 Joanna Lindenbaum
Approach the curriculum development process with the expectation that our first draft has to be perfect or close to perfect.
00:15:35 Joanna Lindenbaum
But here’s the truth.
00:15:38 Joanna Lindenbaum
Going for perfection in your curriculum is the fastest way to get stuck and blocked in your curriculum.
00:15:48 Joanna Lindenbaum
When we focus on getting it perfectly right,
00:15:53 Joanna Lindenbaum
from the start, that is when we invite self-doubt and overthinking and that fear of failure.
00:16:02 Joanna Lindenbaum
Instead of letting the ideas flow, being in the creativity, when we are stuck in that myth of perfection with curriculum, we scrutinize every concept or idea before it even has a chance to breathe.
00:16:19 Joanna Lindenbaum
And then it makes the whole curriculum creation process feel heavy and daunting.
00:16:28 Joanna Lindenbaum
So I really want you to remember that curriculum development isn’t about nailing it on the first try.
00:16:34 Joanna Lindenbaum
It’s about exploration.
00:16:37 Joanna Lindenbaum
It’s about being inside of a process.
00:16:40 Joanna Lindenbaum
I promise you, every transformative program or course that you admire went through.
00:16:49 Joanna Lindenbaum
through drafts and iterations and revisions.
00:16:55 Joanna Lindenbaum
The magic happens through the process as ideas evolve and connections deepen, right?
00:17:04 Joanna Lindenbaum
You make those connections over time, and then the deepest content starts to take shape.
00:17:12 Joanna Lindenbaum
So we want to embrace the curiosity.
00:17:15 Joanna Lindenbaum
That also helps the process become more playful too, instead of it being high pressure where you’re just stiff.
00:17:25 Joanna Lindenbaum
Okay, so…
00:17:26 Joanna Lindenbaum
Now we finally, we’re on to pointer 4, and this is where all of that was prep, but really important prep and foundation where we looked so far.
00:17:36 Joanna Lindenbaum
And here the 4th key on how I create curriculum is where I actually start writing things down and start thinking and feeling into my curriculum.
00:17:49 Joanna Lindenbaum
And the very first thing that I write down is about
00:17:56 Joanna Lindenbaum
starting my curriculum with the end in mind.
00:18:02 Joanna Lindenbaum
Okay, so here’s really where the magic begins.
00:18:07 Joanna Lindenbaum
I write at the top of the page, by the time my students or participants are complete with this program or this retreat,
00:18:23 Joanna Lindenbaum
What results will they have achieved?
00:18:29 Joanna Lindenbaum
So we want to start with the end.
00:18:33 Joanna Lindenbaum
Some other questions I ask, so I ask what results do I want my students to have achieved by the end of the program?
00:18:40 Joanna Lindenbaum
I also ask myself up front with the end in mind, how do I want my students to feel
00:18:49 Joanna Lindenbaum
by the end of the course or the retreat?
00:18:53 Joanna Lindenbaum
What beliefs do I want them to hold about themselves, about the world, about the topic of the course?
00:19:03 Joanna Lindenbaum
I also ask, what knowledge, skills, or tools do I want to make sure my students walk away with by the time they’re complete?
00:19:15 Joanna Lindenbaum
And then I give myself the time and space to get into detail in answering those questions, right?
00:19:24 Joanna Lindenbaum
Without that myth of perfection, I write things down, I might cross them out, I might add things later, but I get into the details of it.
00:19:32 Joanna Lindenbaum
The idea here is to be clear upfront on the end results, the inner and outer end results of the program or course or circle, whatever it is, so that all the curriculum
00:19:45 Joanna Lindenbaum
The curriculum that I create is effective in leading my students to the promised results.
00:19:56 Joanna Lindenbaum
I start the curriculum by getting clear.
00:20:01 Joanna Lindenbaum
on the end results so that I stay on course as I develop my curriculum.
00:20:07 Joanna Lindenbaum
And I don’t, so that I don’t end up including things that don’t need to be included so that I’m focused on developing curriculum points that have the absolute best chance of activating my marketing promises for the course or the workshop.
00:20:28 Joanna Lindenbaum
So I’ll give you an example of this.
00:20:32 Joanna Lindenbaum
Since we’ve been talking today also about my life-changing courses training, when I started the curriculum for that training, I started with the end results of the program in mind.
00:20:47 Joanna Lindenbaum
It’s a 10-week program.
00:20:50 Joanna Lindenbaum
And here are some of the end results of that program.
00:20:55 Joanna Lindenbaum
By the time you are done with the 10 weeks, you have a high quality curriculum that’s not only effective, but that contains your unique ideas and methods.
00:21:08 Joanna Lindenbaum
By the end of those 10 weeks, I got clear.
00:21:13 Joanna Lindenbaum
that the students, you’re going to know how to craft transformational exercises for your curriculum and exercises that include learning that go beyond just the cognitive mind.
00:21:24 Joanna Lindenbaum
By the end of the 10 weeks of the program, you have a completed curriculum that you feel confident in, and you also feel confident
00:21:36 Joanna Lindenbaum
in who you are as a transformational leader and facilitator, because through those 10 weeks, you’ve been mastering advanced facilitation techniques, and you’ve also been doing your deeper inner work on your confidence and on your good enoughness.
00:21:56 Joanna Lindenbaum
The other end result of life-changing courses is that by the end of the program, you’re ready to market your course.
00:22:06 Joanna Lindenbaum
And you also understand the most effective and ethical components to marketing group programs.
00:22:15 Joanna Lindenbaum
So that’s an example.
00:22:16 Joanna Lindenbaum
And hopefully, as you can see from my example, by starting at the end, by being really clear about the desired outcomes of the course,
00:22:31 Joanna Lindenbaum
It will help me craft a curriculum that is more aligned and more impactful.
00:22:39 Joanna Lindenbaum
As you’ll see as I continue with some other pointers today, you’ll also see that being really clear on the end result helps you determine
00:22:50 Joanna Lindenbaum
how long a course needs to be, or how many sessions need to be included in the course, or what kinds of components need to be included in the course.
00:23:01 Joanna Lindenbaum
When I say components, I mean training calls versus get it done calls versus Q&A time, you know, versus discussion, et cetera.
00:23:12 Joanna Lindenbaum
A lot of times people come to me and say, how long should my course be?
00:23:15 Joanna Lindenbaum
Or, what kinds of things should I include?
00:23:18 Joanna Lindenbaum
Well, it has to do with what results you’re wanting to create.
00:23:22 Joanna Lindenbaum
Getting clear on that.
00:23:23 Joanna Lindenbaum
The next thing, the very next thing I do when I am crafting a curriculum after getting clear on the end and the results is I rewind completely and identify the starting point.
00:23:40 Joanna Lindenbaum
I identify the starting point.
00:23:41 Joanna Lindenbaum
So each
00:23:42 Joanna Lindenbaum
equally important to knowing where your students are going to end by the time your course ends is knowing where your participants are when they begin your course.
00:23:58 Joanna Lindenbaum
What struggles or questions or fears are your students initially bringing to the table?
00:24:08 Joanna Lindenbaum
What beliefs are
00:24:11 Joanna Lindenbaum
are they initially bringing to the table?
00:24:13 Joanna Lindenbaum
What foundational knowledge or skills or achievements do your students already have?
00:24:23 Joanna Lindenbaum
What are they aware of when they start?
00:24:25 Joanna Lindenbaum
What are they unaware of when they start?
00:24:28 Joanna Lindenbaum
Such important questions in order to craft an effective and unique, by the way, curriculum.
00:24:37 Joanna Lindenbaum
When you get clear on the details of where your students are starting on their journey, when they step into your course or retreat, it then gives you so much information and so much insight on what needs to be included in your curriculum, as well as what doesn’t need to be included in your curriculum.
00:25:04 Joanna Lindenbaum
So again, to give you an example, going back to my life-changing courses training, here is where participants generally are when they first step into those 10 weeks.
00:25:22 Joanna Lindenbaum
They have a deep desire to create incredible experiences and results in their group programs,
00:25:33 Joanna Lindenbaum
but they don’t quite know exactly how to do that.
00:25:37 Joanna Lindenbaum
They maybe have not had the best results in the past with their group programs.
00:25:45 Joanna Lindenbaum
When someone, when a student starts life-changing courses, they often already know that they are smart.
00:25:57 Joanna Lindenbaum
They have a lot of wisdom to share, but
00:26:01 Joanna Lindenbaum
they’re just not sure of how to create the most powerful curriculum and programming possible.
00:26:10 Joanna Lindenbaum
When people start life-changing courses, they generally desire to be able to more fully access their ideas, their thought leadership, and to get to the depth and the layers and the details behind the ideas and the thought leaderships.
00:26:31 Joanna Lindenbaum
For some people who step into life-changing courses, when they begin, they have so many ideas, but they just don’t know which ones are important, which ones aren’t as important, how to organize all of it.
00:26:44 Joanna Lindenbaum
Also, when people start life-changing courses, they know that they want to make their exercises inside of their courses much more powerful.
00:26:56 Joanna Lindenbaum
So those are just some of the beginning places.
00:27:00 Joanna Lindenbaum
I should also add, because this is an important component that I identified when I was creating the curriculum for life-changing courses, when my students start, they understand and they know that going deep is really important.
00:27:18 Joanna Lindenbaum
And also that going deep, while
00:27:21 Joanna Lindenbaum
doing it safely and being trauma informed is important, but they’re not quite sure how to accomplish those things.
00:27:30 Joanna Lindenbaum
Oh, so hopefully that gives you a great example of what I mean by get clearer on where your people are when they start their course.
00:27:41 Joanna Lindenbaum
And then that leads us to key point number six for today.
00:27:46 Joanna Lindenbaum
Again, I always do this with my curriculum next.
00:27:50 Joanna Lindenbaum
And once I’ve got end point and once I’ve got the start point, then the next step is to map out the journey in between.
00:28:05 Joanna Lindenbaum
Right?
00:28:06 Joanna Lindenbaum
So this is the part of the curriculum creation process where now you have all the information that you need to chart the path that is going to take your students
00:28:20 Joanna Lindenbaum
from where they are now to where you want them to be by the end of your course or program or retreat.
00:28:28 Joanna Lindenbaum
And this is really based on the prep work you’ve done with the bookends, right?
00:28:35 Joanna Lindenbaum
This is where your thought leadership really comes in, because now you’re poised
00:28:43 Joanna Lindenbaum
to really identify that unique method for getting your ideal clients to where they want to go in your course.
00:28:56 Joanna Lindenbaum
As you map out the steps, first draft, don’t do it in order.
00:29:02 Joanna Lindenbaum
Don’t feel like you have to figure out the steps in the order of the program.
00:29:05 Joanna Lindenbaum
Just brainstorm.
00:29:07 Joanna Lindenbaum
Be in that creative process.
00:29:09 Joanna Lindenbaum
Have a good time with it.
00:29:12 Joanna Lindenbaum
get a little out-of-the-box with it as well.
00:29:17 Joanna Lindenbaum
And that brings us to the last key that I want to mention today with all of it, which is slow it down.
00:29:31 Joanna Lindenbaum
So this is one of the most important
00:29:39 Joanna Lindenbaum
pieces of wisdom that I can share about course creation.
00:29:46 Joanna Lindenbaum
It’s one that I really hope you’ll pay attention to.
00:29:51 Joanna Lindenbaum
The magic in any curriculum is in the details.
00:29:59 Joanna Lindenbaum
It’s not in the general ideas.
00:30:03 Joanna Lindenbaum
It is in the details.
00:30:05 Joanna Lindenbaum
In the details is where you are going to find your greatest thought leadership, your most unique ideas.
00:30:20 Joanna Lindenbaum
And a big mistake that a lot of curriculum creators make is that they stay general and they go quick.
00:30:31 Joanna Lindenbaum
They skip from step A to step D to step J.
00:30:38 Joanna Lindenbaum
And what makes an experience, a curriculum, a process more effective for your participants is to slow it down, get to the details, and go from step A to B to C to D without skipping.
00:31:00 Joanna Lindenbaum
Okay.
00:31:02 Joanna Lindenbaum
I hope that these seven pointers have sparked some ideas and excitement for your next program or course.
00:31:14 Joanna Lindenbaum
As a quick review, pointer one was create the time and space.
00:31:21 Joanna Lindenbaum
Pointer two, maybe start with pen and paper.
00:31:25 Joanna Lindenbaum
Pointer three, embrace curiosity, not perfection.
00:31:30 Joanna Lindenbaum
Pointer four, start with the end in mind.
00:31:34 Joanna Lindenbaum
Number five, next, identify the starting point of the journey.
00:31:42 Joanna Lindenbaum
Pointer six, map out the steps.
00:31:45 Joanna Lindenbaum
And then last but not least, slow it down.
00:31:52 Joanna Lindenbaum
If you loved this podcast episode, I’ve got two incredible upcoming opportunities for you to be able to take your curriculum and group program leadership to the next level so that you know you’re doing your best work and so that you’re poised for your clients to love the work that they’re doing with you.
00:32:13 Joanna Lindenbaum
The first opportunity is the full experience.
00:32:15 Joanna Lindenbaum
This is where I take you by the hand and support you step by step through your curriculum creation and your exercise creation inside of your curriculum.
00:32:26 Joanna Lindenbaum
And it’s called the Curriculum Lab.
00:32:29 Joanna Lindenbaum
Inside of the lab, you learn all of the tips and strategies that you need to organize your ideas into an effective transformational curriculum journey.
00:32:41 Joanna Lindenbaum
And the idea is that it’s a lab.
00:32:44 Joanna Lindenbaum
So you’re not just taking notes, but instead you are actually doing the work to get your curriculum complete every single week.
00:32:57 Joanna Lindenbaum
And we do this in a couple of ways inside of the curriculum lab.
00:33:01 Joanna Lindenbaum
We have weekly training sessions where I share with you those tips and those strategies.
00:33:09 Joanna Lindenbaum
And inside of it, you can also ask me any questions that you want on those training sessions.
00:33:18 Joanna Lindenbaum
The second way we do this is every single week, if you want to come, we have a Get It Done curriculum session where you can come for 90 minutes.
00:33:30 Joanna Lindenbaum
and actually work on your curriculum.
00:33:35 Joanna Lindenbaum
Get it done, do the homework that I gave that week.
00:33:38 Joanna Lindenbaum
So if you are someone who you know you need a container, it’s helpful with accountability, or you need support when you’re actually doing your curriculum work.
00:33:49 Joanna Lindenbaum
You want someone to ask questions.
00:33:51 Joanna Lindenbaum
You tend to get overwhelmed.
00:33:53 Joanna Lindenbaum
You need some support as you’re writing to organize your ideas.
00:33:58 Joanna Lindenbaum
then we have you covered in those Get It Done sessions.
00:34:02 Joanna Lindenbaum
But on top of the training and the Get It Done sessions inside of the curriculum lab, you also have the opportunity to share with me as many times as you want during the six weeks.
00:34:17 Joanna Lindenbaum
your curriculum, any draft of your curriculum, and I will go through it line by line by line by line and give you suggestions and feedback.
00:34:29 Joanna Lindenbaum
This is an incredible value and a real opportunity to finally get your curriculum done and to create a curriculum with true substance and gravitas.
00:34:43 Joanna Lindenbaum
The curriculum lab also comes with bonuses.
00:34:47 Joanna Lindenbaum
Inside of the lab, the bonuses include a retreat where you can learn facilitation skills, where we spend some time really going deep in how to facilitate group programs.
00:35:02 Joanna Lindenbaum
And because I know that you’re probably looking for marketing support as well to get your group program out into the world, the curriculum lab includes a couple of incredible marketing bonuses.
00:35:15 Joanna Lindenbaum
We start on January 26.
00:35:18 Joanna Lindenbaum
And I will say that the lab is priced very low for everything that you get inside of it.
00:35:27 Joanna Lindenbaum
And that’s because I just believe so, so strongly that group programs can help change the world.
00:35:36 Joanna Lindenbaum
And I want to get this experience out to as many course creators as I can.
00:35:42 Joanna Lindenbaum
Now, if you want to dip your toes in first, then join me for 90 minutes for the Transformative Power of Curriculum workshop, and you’ll get a really good taste of
00:35:59 Joanna Lindenbaum
of some of the things that we do inside of the curriculum lab there.
00:36:03 Joanna Lindenbaum
I’ll drop links in the show notes for both the curriculum lab and for the transformative power of curriculum.
00:36:11 Joanna Lindenbaum
I hope that you’ll join me.
